The Shrine of Imamzade Abbas is a popular shrine in Sari city. It was formerly in the Azadgole village at the vicinity of Azadgole village, but it is merged with Sari after the expansion of the city. The shrine dates back to 500 years ago. The 30 meter high octagon shrine is among the master piece monuments in Mazandaran.Cornices cover the walls of the shrine while there is a golden cupola on top of it. Imamzade Abbas was a top clergy man who is believed to be contemporary with Imam Hadi and Hassan Askari. He moved to Mazandaran to promote Islamic tenets.
